Monthly Police Logs Now Available Online

Residents can view the most recent logs on the Police Departments webpage.

Residents can view the Town’s monthly Police Department activity log on the official town website. The log provides a summary of police calls and incidents and is published regularly to promote transparency and keep the community informed.

The police log can be found by visiting www.colrain-ma.gov and navigating to the Police Department page, where it is posted under Police Logs.

Residents with questions about the log or public safety matters are encouraged to contact the Police Department at policechief@colrain-ma.gov or 413-625-8200 (non-emergency).

The Colrain Police Department seeks qualified candidates to fill positions for part-time police officers.

Police Officers - Part-Time

The Town of Colrain Police Department is seeking qualified candidates to fill positions for part-time police officers.

Candidate Minimum Qualifications: high school diploma, at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Massachusetts Driver's License and a valid Massachusetts License to Carry or the ability to possess one. Applicants MUST also have graduated from the M.P.T.C. Full-Time Academy or Bridge Academy with ability to be P.O.S.T. certified for a part-time position. Candidates will be expected to pass a background check, including CORI, and have an acceptable driving record. Current starting hourly pay for part-time officers is $25.94.

Application can be found at www.colrain-ma.gov under Employment Opportunities and must be submitted, along with a resume and cover letter expressing interest. Please drop off or mail materials to the Select Board office at 55 Main Road, Colrain, MA 01340 or via email to: bos@colrain-ma.gov Posting will be active until position is filled.
