Collector's office closed
The Tax Collector's office will be closed on July 10th, 15th and 17th.
Hello Everyone, The new fiscal year 2026 tax bills were mailed at the end of June. There are two bills in this mailing. 1st quarter due August 1, 2025 and 2nd quarter due November 3, 2025. Please note, if a due date is on a day the collector’s office is not regularly open then the payment will be received without penalty during the next regular scheduled office hours. My office hours are Tuesdays and Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The Collector’s office will be closed on July 10th, 15th and 17th. During this time town tax payments can be made online (online payments are not accepted for Fire District tax), mail drop box (located on the second set of green doors at the town office which is available 24/7) or by mail. If you require a receipt include a Self-Addressed Stamped envelope with your payment.

- Town real estate and personal property tax can be paid online at Colrain-ma.gov go to the home page and click on pay online then follow the prompts. (District taxes cannot be paid online at this time).
- On the online payment portal you can access your payment records going back to the year 2000. By clicking on the links located on the right side of each record.
- On the online payment portal you can get a record of your calendar year payment for tax return purposed by clicking on “IRS payment records for year 2025” and click on search. (that will be available in January of 2026. Currently 2024 records are still available).
